Our experience with the ESLTCP practicum student from UofW: February-March, 2015
Application of our understanding of verb tenses
CLB7 TASK (Formative): write a three-paragraph email to the ESLTCP your instructor as follows:
- paragraph one: tell her what happened in our class from February 20 to March 23
- paragraph two: let her know what you learned
- paragraph three: mention the impact of this experience
Email to ESL colleagues nation-wide: *Summative task June, 2015 (*Students revised their email before sending them to me electronically to enable me to include them in our Weebly)
CLB7 Task: Write an email to ESL colleagues across Canada: share your experience and express your feelings using online tools to enhance language learning this term. Explain why the online tasks were positive/negative for you. Mention what the impact has been (p.128) and offer possible recommendations.
Conditions: in class, face-to-face, two 50-minute periods (a little extra time for some students), no dictionary or electronic device
Provided: task with detailed instructions attached to the rubric and lined paper (5 sheets)
N.B. permission given by all students to share this artifact at the TESL Canada conference in Lake Louise October 29-31, 2015. (see June 24 emails* below -- last day of class was on June 26)
